Following a thrilling final round at the world-famous Silverstone circuit, Zain’s very first time competing on the iconic track, he officially clinched the 2026 Rookie Championship behind the wheel of his trusty Citroen Saxo.

To make the achievement even more remarkable, Zain finished 5th in the overall championship standings in a highly competitive field of 28 drivers. Making the leap from karting to saloon car racing in a single season is a daunting challenge for any driver, but Zain adapted immediately, showing maturity and race craft well beyond his years.

Zain’s road to the trophy was not an easy one. Competing against more advanced machinery on the grid, Zain couldn’t rely on sheer horsepower alone, he had to dig deep, drive smart, and fight hard for every single overtake and defensive position across the season.

Behind every great driver is a dedicated pit crew, and Zain’s secret weapon was none other than his dad, who took on the role of head mechanic. Working tirelessly in the garage between races, his dad pushed the Saxo to the absolute peak of its performance to ensure Zain had the best possible setup when the lights went out.

Zain will soon attend a gala awards evening where he will officially collect his trophy and be crowned the 2026 Rookie Champion.

With the trophy secured and the racing season officially wrapped up, Zain is now shifting his focus from the racetrack to the classroom. As he enters the final stretch of Year 11, his immediate priority is putting the same drive and discipline into his studies as he prepares for his crucial GCSE exams this year.
