At Co-op Academy Walkden, we are looking to appoint a permanent Higher Level Teaching Assistant to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. The successful candidate will provide a heavily supported and differentiated education for a small group of students across Years 7-11. They will also need to plan and deliver lessons and assess learning within our In School Alternative Provision. The aim of the provision is to give structured opportunities for mainstream inclusion whilst retaining the intensive and personalised support appropriate to the individual by  providing advice, strategies, observations and interventions to the students consistent with the main duties and responsibilities. The role also involves managing and writing NPD referrals to ensure students receive the necessary interventions and support.
